Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
Quality Logistics, LLC, doing business as Longship (“Longship,” “we,” “us”), is a freight brokerage based in Lexington, Kentucky. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, longship.us (the “Site”), and through text messages, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the Site, the messages you send us through it, and our text messages. It doesn’t cover information we handle under our agreements with shippers, carriers and other business partners; those agreements govern that information. It also doesn’t cover other companies’ websites we link to, such as our careers site hosted by BambooHR.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject of your message, and anything you write in it. If you call or email us, we collect whatever you choose to share, such as your name, company, phone number and shipment details.
Text messages. If you agree to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile phone number, a record of your consent (when and how you gave it), and the messages you exchange with us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect some information automatically:
- Usage information: the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that referred you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Device information: your browser type, operating system, device type, IP address, and the general location (city or region) that can be inferred from your IP address.
- Form security information: our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google.
- Embedded content: some pages include videos hosted by Vimeo and fonts served by Google. When those load, Vimeo and Google receive your IP address and browser information.
We don’t ask for sensitive information through the Site or by text, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. Please don’t send it through the contact form or by text.
How we use information
- To respond to your questions and requests, including requests about freight services, carrier partnerships and employment.
- To provide the services you ask us about and to run our business.
- To send text messages you’ve agreed to receive, such as load, shipment, dispatch and account updates, and to honor opt-out requests.
- To operate, secure and maintain the Site, including blocking spam and abuse.
- To understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it.
- To comply with the law, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights and safety of Longship, our customers, our carriers and others.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The Site uses:
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (for example, cookies named _ga), which tell us how visitors use the Site. Google’s use of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Security cookies from Google reCAPTCHA, which help tell people from bots.
- Functional cookies set by our website software, which keep the Site working.
- Video cookies that Vimeo may set if you play an embedded video.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not work as well. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so the Site doesn’t currently respond to these signals. Third parties such as Google may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA), video hosting (Vimeo), email and text messaging. They may use the information only to provide their services to us or as their own privacy policies describe.
- Legal and safety reasons: when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process or a government request, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Longship or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messaging (SMS)
We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. Our SMS Terms at https://longship.us/tos/ explain what we send, how often, and how to opt out.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or call us at 855-440-2828.
How long we keep information
We keep contact form messages, text messages, consent records and related correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, maintain our business records, and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encrypting the connection between your browser and the Site. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing privacy@longship.us. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights. We will respond as the law requires, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can let an authorized agent make a request for you if we can confirm the agent has your permission. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision; we’ll tell you the result of the appeal and how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree.
If we send you email, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message.
Children
The Site and our text messages are meant for businesses and adults. They aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Where we process information
Longship operates in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States.
Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, including our careers site on BambooHR and our social media pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Information you submit in a job application is handled under BambooHR’s and our applicant privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we’ll post a notice on the Site.
